Manipulation Painting

Broken repetition of image and loose overlaps of lines lie at the center of my practice. I invite accidents to play within my work and celebrate the differences and originality they offer. The untouched space within the canvas becomes as important as the areas that have been embodied with marks. Often, the purest form of conscious decision lies in this space of nothingness. Letting the spherical outlines go in and out of the foreground the surface goes beyond the two-dimensional and plays with perspective. I am interested in the relational quality that this brings and its ability to create subtle sculptural elements within the work.
