Margaritas with Art Books Painting

This work was inspired by a bouquet of African Margaritas that I bought in a Mexican market. I placed them in a Mexican handblown glass vase and placed them on the banco in front of my large studio window. Outside the sky was brilliant blue, a warm sunny day in Mexico. In the background, there is a tall pine tree, along with abundant bougainvillea vines in bloom, so the color outside balances with the abundant color of the flowers inside, such is life in Mexico. I am always inspired by the rich colors, the light and the warmth of this country.
