Nina Mári is a Ukrainian artist whose work is inextricably linked with the study of social processes. She lives and works in Kyiv. After graduating from art school, Nina continued her studies by herself. Art of the early twentieth and early twenty-first century became for the young artist a basis for reflection and experimentation. Her work is characterized by duality, as she belongs to a generation that was born and raised in the analog era and now lives and works in the digital one. She is looking back to old practices and looking for new uses for them. Nina's goal for herself is to make art that speaks to the viewer on topics relevant to contemporary society. "I am most interested in why we "are what we are?" My projects are primarily mental because they encourage reflection and create a generational dialogue. I explore social processes, and it is these that are at the core of my artistic practice. It is a combination of reflection, contemplation, intuition and ongoing self-discovery. Contests 2020 – Finalist of Sheptytsky Biennale (Lviv, Ukraine). Projects 2021 – Cornerstone Project (realized as part of the Gagenmeister Art Residence) 2021 – participation in the restoration of mosaics by Ada Rybachuk and Volodymyr Melnichenko (Kyiv bus station). 2020-2021 – Offline Project.
