Medusa's punishment and her transformation into a monster is one of the most tragic and unfair stories of the Greek mythology for me. The reason why it is still actual, is that even nowadays hundreds and thousands of women take blame for the violence and uncontrolled desires of men. Illustrating the story of Medusa is a reminder of how things have not changed since the antique times and that we all should stand up against violence towards women.
