En reprenant le thème des Nymphéas de Claude Monet, il n’était nullement question de « reproduire ». Notre perception, notre vision n’ont plus l’innocence, si elle a jamais existé, que l’on pouvait attribuer au figuratif et à sa soi-disant ressemblance avec le réel. J’aime la vibration qui naît de la tension entre figuratif et abstrait. Absence de cadre bien défini, imprécision des lignes d’horizon, point focal flottant. L’abstraction me permet d’ouvrir une porte sur l’imaginaire… Sommes nous dans un marais, une jungle bleue, au bord d’une rivière d’un lac… sous des arbres…
