ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In a complex merging of opposites – day and night, dreams and reality, void and plentiful of life – Metallic Voices in the Dark looks towards the darkness and the inwards journeys of rebirth. This work is a large canvas covered in an all over style of iridescent mark making inspired by the underwater reef life. It is like being immersed into uncharted waters and yet feeling safe knowing one has been there before. The iridescent liquid inks and the use of metallic media burst out as we contemplate the cusp of new beginnings. This painting can be hung in landscape or portrait direction. Painted edges wrapped around.

From high above to down below, our Planet is my inspiration. The other side of my practice is working on paper and lately on aluminium supports. My unique marks are freehand carved on a once off print created from my own images. Thus all my artworks are original artworks. Each one is the response to a natural place and a moment in time where I entered in a state of earned magic.
