Metaphorchid Painting

Metaphorchid started as a thought experiment: For years I thought matching someone's couch was as low as one could go as an artist. In order to get out of my own way I decided to rebel against my own rebellion, to create a painting that matched more couches than had ever been matched before. Something elegant, designer friendly, reasonably priced and open to infinite customization. The thought experiment went well. Metaphorchid was on the Nov 13th 2006 Oprah Or in the WInter 06' O at Home magazine. A woman who had purchased a 3x8' walnut stained Metaphorchid from me when I was the featured painter at the Beverly Hills Affaire in the Garden won a contest Nate Burkas had for the best house interior by a non-professional designer.
