About The Artwork
As a fan of the Fritz Lang's film Metropolis (1927) I took three frames of the film to make a small series. The frames are printed on canvas in its original black and white and in this case, colored with acrylic and oil painting. The circular clock motif inspired me immediately the insert of an old television test card, which does not completely belies the futuristic aesthetic of the film. "The mediator between brain and hands must be the heart."
