“Human feelings and deep emotional conditions have always been a slightly opened door to a backstage world of our life, where I’d like to take a closer look. Making art about people gives me a chance to experience their emotions and go through what they had to pass through to get a better understanding of freedom, love and art in various times and moments. I have passed the classic Russian academic school of painting, which continues the high traditions of Western European classic art school; meanwhile, I have a deep interest in modern art, theatre and ballet that are endless sources of artistic dynamics and inspiration for my art. The plain air landscape is also a big part of the process of my emotional comprehension of a certain place, where an artist can show not only nature itself but the subtle impression of its observer. An impulse and quick solution to an artistic task give a unique feeling of lightness, therefore, I intentionally have my landscapes done in a plain-air way, not in the workshop. Besides, I’d like to introduce my series of digital pieces about imagination and immersing into various empathic conditions, where I combine an image with fonts. The series is meant to simulate the psychotherapeutic experience to feel and understand certain emotions through the process of empathy. My art is introduced in various techniques such as oil painting on canvas, tempera painting, mixed techniques, collage, graphic materials, and digital art. ”
