ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I love combining art media in one painting. Here I focused on a simple composition of organic shapes. I combined collaged calligraphy marks with acrylic paint on canvas board. This rather cool color scheme of blue-gray violets is highlighted with minty green paint as well as minty green metallic leaf. The painting itself was inspired by my several visits to Japanese Temples. I lived/worked in Tokyo for three years hence the feeling of Japanese design. This work will surely convey a calming atmosphere to your home or office.
