P r o c e s s: The underpainting is done with watercolour. This is really tricky for few reasons. It took me a considerable amount of time to work out the canvas maker that is suitable for the effect. For the paint to give me these beautiful semi translucent washes, the cotton has to be the right ...

Contemporary painter (full time since 2015) Yuliya known for her ethereal visual language playfully bringing traditional media through unusual layering experimenting on canvas, paper and panel. Her work often carries the message of weightless existence, acceptance of aging and explores linear symbolism through familiar narrative of the elemental realm (water, air and earth). As an unsettled artist, she develops several collections at a time. Some running for years, others completed withing a limited body of work. Each perfectly geared to tell the story within a certain size of surface. Yuliya brings the grace of watercolors experimenting on smaller finest canvas in Blue Bay series, blending acrylic and oil pastel lines in House of Eden while deploying sweeping brushstroke to create blossoming feather like clouds in La Femme Nuage series. Her distinct touch - an elegant, almost effortless flow-- soon captivated art curators and collectors alike, landing her work in some of London’s well connected galleries and collaborations with designers, luxury institutions, and hospitality projects. Yuliya’s art has appeared on major film sets, including Doctor Strange (2016), Scandal (2017), and BBC 6 part drama - Wild Cherry (2025). Her work graced exclusive London clubs and high end dining venues, international luxury hotels (like The Breakers and Aviara Hyatt), private collections worldwide, and most recently, a striking display at Huntsman (11 Saville Raw), London for Mayfair Art week in Jul 2024, Amelie (Belgravia, Motcombe st) chic restaurant and many more. In her skyscapes, Yuliya captures a luminous tension between fragility and strength; in her dreamy sailboat series, a sense of isolation and wonder. Her Connected works on paper explore urban rhythm, while her Blossom series meditates on nature’s cyclical grace. Each piece invites viewers into a world between worlds, a weightless realm where nostalgia drifts and emotions resonate softly, like memories you can almost touch.
