As we move towards digital currency in the modern world, we should not forget the brilliance behind paper money especially American money. Edition 7/50 This is a painting of the 2-dollar bill. Thomas Jefferson is the president on this bill, I incorporated acrylic paint, and other materials for the final finish. The 2-dollar bill is considered the "lucky" bill which is why I decided to paint this bill specifically as a symbol of good luck and fortune. Steve Kaufman, who was once legendary pop artist, Andy Warhol's assistant was the original inspiration for this painting. My artwork is based on consumerism which is one of the reasons why I chose to do a money series for a limited time. The texture of this painting is thick, with a shiny glass-like polish to it. You can touch the painting without worries of damaging it, material is of high quality and can be polished.
