Also, it means youth, as you can find the meaning from the words, 청년(靑年) and 청춘(靑春). **These two Korean words originated from Chinese words which stand for ‘young man (‘blue’ and ‘year’ in Chinese words)’ and ‘younghood (‘blue’ and ‘spring’ in Chinese words)’ respectively. A bluebird also has been widely known as a bird that calls for happiness in the West. In Korea, bluebirds often appear in old fiction or songs as a meaning of joy and hope.
