Painting: Oil on Canvas.
This painting is inspired by the architecture at Nokomis beach designed in 1954 by Jack West (1922-2010), who was part of the Sarasota School of Architecture. The site is on the National Register for Historic Places. If you visit, notice the modernism displayed in the structures juxtaposed to the beach, it's just fantastic. I have friends that are unfamiliar with the area, and they find something more surreal and spiritual in this painting. Either way, this strong composition in a mid-size painting will work well in many interiors.
