Despite a rich full life of family, sport and newspaper work, making art gives me something special, not felt from other activities. It's this excitement that fuels the current work. Each piece is made over multiple sittings, using a number of media, but there is an emotion in the end product that speaks to time as a construct. The vintage imagery helps elude to that emotion around our personal experience of time. Another artist said recently they are “like little delights, a snippet of a moment.” Could this moment emotionally connect the viewer to a narrative of their own?
