ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is another version of "Money Beach" a larger format. Today, the beaches are occupied, the plastic garden chairs are the queens of the beach, welcome to the mass tourism, soon there will be no longer free beaches. In my island, Corsica, to preserve nature you must paid the car park, this is a mean to reduce the crowd on the beaches, holidays look like everyday life ("métro, boulot, dodo"). Democratization causes a substantial influx, then to reduce the number they choose to tax the access to the beach... then where's democratization? Today everywhere you go: you pay. Your life is worth nothing but it is very expensive to have a life. I wanted a more abstract style that usually, with more restraint and sadness, as at twilight. Leave the beach (and the sea) in the evening, is for me, every time, a kind of little death. This is why the sadness. This artwork is ready to be sent, ready to hang, it is an oil on canvas stretched on chassis, glossy varnish. No frame.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a polymorphous artist, if painting is my favorite medium, I also use other media at my disposal: drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture and video where music is present. Each work is approached done by an intellectual and plastic reflection, photos, sketches, notes, the result is a model of the desired plastic image, realized on Photoshop. The execution is mainly done in acrylic or oil. My work is strongly steeped in my Corsican origins, the wild waste dumps, the abandoned villages, the ruins, the invading scrub, the dust of the summer, theses images are strongly printed in my unconscious, but also the exile, the departure and the return, which characterizes us the Corsicans. My works today are mostly urban landscapes drawn from television, photographic imagery, my travels and Google Maps. I do a research work, a kind of inventory of our human society with my particular vision. My work reflects the noisy and uncertain silence of our time, I question my contemporaries about our paradoxes our choices of life for the future, by submitting images of the past or present imprinted with human presence. These images are most often related to childhood, hopes born in childhood and disillusionment of adulthood.
