This artwork belongs to a series called "Natural Flags", which are landscapes inspired by the work of landscapers, they can also be from trips I have made, or by photographs of places I have seen in magazines, on the internet, reading, listening to the music... This flag or landscape of more or less abstract shapes has a white background because it represents a sunrise. This artwork is based on an artwork by Nicolas de Staël, to whom this painting pays homage. It is also inspired by two songs, one by Van Morrison, titled Moondance, along with The Doors' Moonlight drive. This work is the previous work to another one I did and which is called Holy, and it is a hymn to hope and communication as the basis of human understanding and comprehension. No frame needed, but recommended.
