About The Artwork
This is an impressionistic image of my bus stop. I never thought of a bus stop as a possible painting until one morning just before sunrise. I snapped a quick picture with my phone. Sometimes a painting's reference will find you when you least expect it. The original image is painted on Saunders Waterford watercolor rough, 300 gram paper. This is some of the best paper money can buy. They have been making paper on the same site in Europe since the 1700's. The paper size is 12.125 inches by 9 inches. There is a .125 inch boarder around the image. This is where the paper was taped or mounted to the board while painting.

I am a watercolor and acrylic artist specializing in floral and landscape paintings. My work can be found in public and private collections across the globe. My first experience as an artist was at 2 years old, drawing abstract murals on the walls of the house where I grew up. Although my work wasn't appreciated at first, my mother encouraged my creativity by lining the walls with butcher paper allowing me to continue to develop my talent. In the Spring of 1995, I refined my skills as an artist by graduating from The Art Institute of Seattle. My focus was graphic design, typography and illustration. I worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years. I currently live in Newport News, Virginia with my wife, daughter and our sweet little pug named Maddie.
