I grew up in the small town of Oldenburg, Indiana where I developed a deep love of nature and color. I loved hiking in the woods with my family and exploring the countryside. The 64 box of crayons was my most cherished possession. I attended Indiana University where I traded in my crayons for paint and pencils. I graduated with degrees in Art History and Studio Art. My inspiration comes from the colors and light that surround me. I love to see an orange autumn leaf against a brilliant blue sky or the way sunlight and shadows scatter themselves across a trail. Sometimes I paint what I see realistically and sometimes I go more surreal. Both are strongly influenced by color and nature.
