"Morning Still Life with Garlic and Flowers" captures a serene moment bathed in the gentle light of dawn. This watercolor painting presents a harmonious composition of everyday objects. The soft, pastel hues of the flowers contrast delicately with the earthy tones of the garlic bulbs, creating a balanced interplay of color and form. The central focus is a simple, rustic pitcher filled with an assortment of blossoms in shades of purple, blue, and white. The petals, painted with loose, fluid brushstrokes, seem to whisper of a fresh morning breeze. Beside the pitcher, a small, clear glass tumbler sits quietly, its transparency reflecting the surrounding colors and adding a touch of simplicity to the scene. The foreground is anchored by the presence of three garlic bulbs, their organic shapes rendered with careful attention to detail. The muted purples and soft whites of the garlic contrast beautifully with the more vibrant tones of the flowers, adding depth and grounding the composition. The background is an abstract wash of blues and greens. This backdrop enhances the tranquility of the scene, allowing the viewer to be drawn into the quiet, reflective moment the painting depicts. "Morning Still Life with Garlic and Flowers" is an invitation to pause and appreciate the beauty in the simple, everyday moments of life. This piece would make a charming addition to any collection, offering a touch of serenity and elegance to your space. Watercolor on paper.

My name is Oleksandra and I grew up in Ukraine, in the industrial city of Donbas, where handmade mountains were built after coal processing, and quarries with azure water appeared where mercury mining used to be. I always wanted to paint real green mountains and blue waters. Despite being surrounded by industrial landscapes and science, my artistic journey is a continuous quest to capture the beauty and purity of nature. I am nearsighted and see the world in patches of color. Often the blurred forms can be read in different ways, everyone finds a personal reading in certain shapes and colors. Not what the artist sees, but something of their own. I, even just in life, have visual deceptions. I see flowers on the lawn, which turns out to be a discarded ice cream wrapper. You can see the world as it is, or you can see it through the prism of your consciousness, your inner world. Due to my experience and perception of the world, I want to see only beautiful things, where even objects typically overlooked can appear attractive. The main mediums are painting, drawing, and photography, I work with watercolor, ink, and pastel.
