The Ironbark is a very tough Australian eucalyptus tree. It produces a bright red sap and on it's shady side is often covered by a green moss. This giant of a tree is only 100 meters from my front door and gets a frequent visit from me to see it's ever changing coat.

My investigations are currently into abstracted landscape painting, predominantly of Australian native trees and colourful gardens throughout the year. I also have a strong interest in ballet and opera, which emerges mainly in my sculptural works. When I paint trees and gardens the colours tend to become more intense and the patterns take on a abstract nature.
