I was born in Ecuador and grew up surrounded by art. Ever since I was a child I remember my love for art and poetry. When I was 10 years old, I represented my school at the First Children Art Festival in Guayaquil, and at the same age I start writing poetry. Even though I did not win the art contest, this event marked the beginning of my dream to become a professional artist. At the age of 16 I won a poetry contest at my high school which also ratified my decision to dedicate my life to art. At the age of 20, and after studying for two years Interior Design at the University Vicente Rocafuerte de Guayaquil, I moved to New York City where I took classes of Art and Textile / Surface Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I also took sculpture classes at The Art Student League NY. In 1997 my husband and I chose Boca Raton Florida as the place to raise our kids, and since 2000 I have been working as a professional artist dedicated full time to the passion of my life that is to create art. Painting for me is more than a need ... It's part of me. When I paint or write poetry I feel peace, freedom, love, joy, I am happy. This is what I want to manifest in my art. I need to do it daily, it is the nourishment to my spirit, it is a feeling an encounter with my inner self. A painting is the manifestation of a feeling, for that I often say that  "It's not me ... it's he who paints ... silent and restless slips between colors, tones and the aroma of oil... is my spirit who paints The style that I like to use most is cubism and fauvism. I identify with these two styles because they give me freedom and spontaneity to create. I love to use bright, bold  and rich colors. Color is everything in nature, it's beauty, it's passion, it's life, and life itself is the greatest source of my inspiration.
