Painting... Is entering a parallel world created by me... In the deepest recesses of my thoughts, I love, live, feel, dream, and yearn. Only in my mind am I the owner and architect of that parallel, ephemeral, and unsettling world, which I intend to capture on canvases so that the viewer perceives them accurately. My series "Body and Soul Naked," "My World, a Matter of Faith," "Animals... Beings of Light," and "Migrations of Sound" are portals to that world that allow me to bring what is in my mind into reality. Diana Francia Diana Francia Gómez Ordóñez, a Colombian born in Cali, Valle, comes from a family of artists. Therefore, she starts her passion and approach to art from a very young age. Later, with studies in fine arts, she begins her trajectory, participating in more than 200 exhibitions to date, alongside important Colombian and foreign artists in Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Morocco, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Colombia. She has received several recognitions for her work and her career. "The technique that Diana Francia uses is of utmost importance for the proposed style, using a two-phase Dripping: one fluid that gives expressiveness and movement to the stroke, in the manner of abstract expressionists or informalists; as well as another controlled, of a figurative nature with which she draws the forms and contours of her compositions. Her works manage to captivate and attract the viewer, immersing them in the profound aspects of an emotional and psychological universe, full of reflection and contemplation." "Like good night owls, expressionists advance through the depths of the night and fill their canvases and papers with mundane stars that exhibit their mutant faces and their androgynous feminine, masculine spirit. Felines and birds of prey spot their victims with a keen gaze, capture them, and extract their spirit." Her hard work and love for art have led her to be a cultural manager and one of the founders of "Kontemporánea Arte Itinerante / Gestión KontemporArte," entities dedicated to promoting art and artists in her country. For her commitment to social aspects and her benefactor work, she has been recognized as a "Godmother" in the Los Ángeles de Luna Foundation.
