This work is part of the series "Floating Mountains". I started this series in 2021, shortly after moving to Stuttgart, inspired by the city itself. In these works I explore the relationship between planimetry and structure, as opposites to my intuitive impulses. I try to combine intuition and technique, gesture and geometry, to integrate both poles in one image. The main figure of the painting or the outline, rhythmically repeated in each work, represents a synthesis and is inspired by the shape of mountains, hills, or even the great mansions and villas with gabled roofs (gambrel roof) that forms big blocks or masses. Within these figures, many things happen. It is an aesthetic compositional game that is in harmony with an inner need for expression. The choice of colors also plays a big role, because through the diverse color combinations I simultaneously explore the different possibilities of a harmonious composition.

Jesica was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1980. As the daughter of architect parents, she has been linked to drawing since her early childhood. She currently lives and works in Stuttgart, Germany. Jesica paints and makes collages, she is interested in the integration and synthesis between certain planimetries and geometries and their gestural, textured and fresh counterpart. To be able to find a harmonious coexistence between an ordered structure and intuitive impulses. He tries to combine gesture and geometry, to integrate both poles in a single image. She is inspired by the combination of disciplines such as fine arts and graphic design, the contrast between the handmade and the industrial, the geometry of urban design or architecture, and the looseness of nature.
