'Mountain Landscape' is an encaustic painting with incorporated painted silk, which is stretched over the light wood panel. Sides are covered with see-through encaustic wax to show the silk fabric. The dreamy, cloudy, mountainous landscape. Encaustic allows me to express myself with heavy textures. Very tactile. Feel it.

In 1998 Dana moved to Canmore in Canadian Rocky Mountains. Now she works in acrylics, mixed media, and textiles. Dana wants her viewers to feel her paintings with their hearts similar to listening a poetry. Dana won awards for her art locally, nationally and internationally. Dana's hobbies are mountaineering, skiing, hiking and climbing.
