ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is inspired by my love of the mountains. During the UK lockdown everyone has felt rather trapped and this was completely the opposite feeling I had last year when I was snowboarding in Eastern Europe. I wanted to reminisce over the freedom in such a beautiful, large open space while stuck at home. I hope that viewers will relate to that same freedom when they see this piece and feel small in comparison (but in the very best way). I wanted to approach this with a realistic style as I aimed to capture their beauty and power in even the minute details.
