ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I wanted to pay homage to the legacy of black married couples over the years, thus the title, "Mr. & Mrs.". In this piece I wanted to show the history, going all the way back to Africa, the faces are takes on an African mask. The photos are of varied couples. I used spray paint, and paint splattered fabric to give the piece a modern, "street" edge.
