Painting: Acrylic, Paper on Wood.
This piece is currently part of an exhibition in Los Angeles taking place in February. Although it is not available right now, it can be recreated as close as possible. Contact Saatchi Art for more information.
This diptych (two pieces hung together as one piece) is a weathered collage, covered with vintage newspapers from the 60s with bold gestural black paint strokes and colorful undercoats peaking through. Collage is created on reclaimed beefy 1.5" deep window frames (see last photo). Signed and dated on the back. Multiple coats of matte varnish protect and seal the piece. Art is gallery wrapped, so no need for framing. Each panel has two D-rings on the back with heavy duty plastic-coated wire–ready to hang and start a conversation in any space.
With both pieces hung together as shown measure 47.5" tall x 36" wide.
Each panel measures 47.5" tall x 18" wide and weighs 10 pounds each.
And people ask, "why the title?" The titles of the collage pieces I create, come directly from the exposed text in the artwork. Can you find it?
