Mysterious Iran Painting

A covered street, among so many others, in city of Yezd, Iran. Iran is a wast, magnificent land. The beauty of it is magical and hidden from some eyes under a silk weil. This mighty, delicate and extremely fine culture will grab you immediately if you manage to see through that weil. This painting and hopefully several others are just humble architectural visuals I could grab during a short visit of this great country and wonderful people. My hope is to project some of the magic I felt. Imagine yourself living in a hot, dry climate. Pretty much like a desert. In such climates, it is very often houses built very near to each other to provide precious shadow to narrow streets and onto each other. More developed and richer civilisations cover the streets altogether with vaults and domes. Imagine the comfort it provides to pedestarians of the city. Walk to the downtown or to the bazaar for your daily schedule in such an environment. Protected from sun in summer and from rain in winter. And not one watt of energy consumption. The magical shapes and forms achieved by usage of adobe is another wonder. Again, only usage of energy is the heat from the sun ! I cannot keep myself wondering about the "clash of the civilisations" and which civilisation is more "civil"...
