The work is inspired by the famous mountain Nanga Parbat, which literally means Naked Mountain and is a tribute to its first successful expedition on 3 July 1953 by the Austrian Hermann Buhl. It is the ninth highest mountain in the world at 8,125 m and the second highest in Pakistan; it is located in the Karakoram range. Its name derives from the fact that it is a very isolated mountain separated from the rest of the mountain, so the upper area with perpetual snow stands out remarkably in the surrounding landscape. On the south face of Nanga Parbat is the largest wall on the planet, the Rupal Face, which rises 4600 metres from its base and is one of the steepest in the world. The work takes us to the solitude of the cold peaks, a journey into the unknown for most humans.

«Abstract art should be experienced like music, without trying to understand it with the mind, just letting it in.» Wassily Kandinsky Francisco Zurera As a professional agronomist and a photography enthusiast since my childhood, especially of natural landscapes, I decided to venture into the world of painting, discovering a universe of sensations through abstract art. In an increasingly technology-dominated world, painting has an extraordinary allure as it harks back to the most primitive forms of human expression. As a photography enthusiast, I perceive abstract art as an opposing style. My goal is not to reproduce something that already exists, but to create timeless entities that require imagination and understanding beyond logic when admiring each piece. It all begins with a blank canvas, free from preconceptions, through a series of intuitive actions that merge to shape the aforementioned entity. Each brushstroke contributes to unveiling what the eye commonly does not perceive, unraveling the hidden in each individual, landscape, or moment. Through each stroke, I develop a narrative, playing with layers, colors, textures, and movements. Every piece I create intends to evoke emotions, provoke reflection, and connect with the viewer on a personal level. My paintings pose questions whose answers lie within each of us. Email contact:
