ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Like a lot of my work this was inspired by a song of the same name by the band, Mountain, with the great Leslie West on guitar. The name Nantucket Sleighride comes from the old whaling days when the whale would sound after the harpoon went in and the small boat would take off on a " Nantucket Sleighride".

This profle picture shows me at work in my studio, the work in progress is " Ink Mathmatics". As you can see my work is very varied in subject and style. The things that inspire me are words mostly from songs or poetry, a word a phrase. The pictures I hope speak for themselves, but I hope they have a narrative somehow and tell a story.I have been painting since childhood. For the past year I have worked exclusively in mixed media and my style and execution has evolved into a much more bold and individual realisation of my own artistic philosophy.
