Having grown up in Egypt, Iraq and Germany, my travels have taken me to almost every continent. I developed an early fascination for geological structures and natural phenomena such as the elements of sky, fire and water. This is probably why they are often reflected in my works. I only approached art after years of working as an architect and now strive to break up colors and forms completely, even to demolish and crush them, in order to discover new formations and phenomena in the resulting chaos. In complete contrast to architecture, which has to be planned, designed, constructed and built. I describe my style as modern and decorative, because I create dynamic structures that allow for very individual interpretations. My art is characterized by the interplay of predominantly contrasting colors, which sometimes creates landscapes, sometimes surfaces, sometimes spaces, but also harmonizes volume and silence.
