Near the square Painting

The hustle and bustle at the heart of the capital city (Valletta), at around lunch time, is depicted through the rough brush strokes. A sense of the baroque architectural style is given through the impression of large stone corbels of an open balcony at the top left corner. The style is intended to show the sense of movement, with the intention to give an impression, rather than define the figures. Some of the black lines of the underlying ink sketch are intentionally left to show through in some areas, to add to the texture and intended "incompleteness".
