ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Without concepts like beauty and love, art would not be complete. Especially at a time when our world needs love and beauty more than ever, despite threats such as war, violence and epidemics. My work is a constant search to show love and beauty as the saviour of our current world. As an artist, I work with a medium that I first discovered as a child as a platform to express my love for this world: paper and paint. Each of my artworks is a reference to the idea of love and beauty. A concept that I found pure in Eastern literature. What the great poets of the East have said about love and beauty has been my motivation in creating my works. I love the idea that art is a tool for uplifting our souls. If a viewer stops for a moment to see and reflect on the work I have created and a part of my thoughts and feelings are transferred to him, I have succeeded in my work. **************** Parisa Sahafiasl, a painter and miniature artist, was born in 1984 in Ardabil, Iran. Parisa Sahafiasl, who spent her childhood in Ardabil, is the granddaughter of Lotf Ali Sahafiasl, the great teacher of Ardabil's traditional bookbinding art, and the great-grandchild of Muttalib Sahafiasl. After completing her primary, secondary, and high school education in Ardabil, she graduated from Hamedan Bu-Ali Sina University, Faculty of Art and Architecture, Archeology Department in 2008. In the same year, she started her postgraduate level at Tehran Shahed University, Faculty of Arts, Art Studies Department and defended her thesis in 2010 and received the degree of master. In 2016, she began her doctorate at Samson Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Islamic History and Art, and on June 26, 2020, defended her dissertation on "The Traces of the Great Seljuk Miniature Art Miniatures of Ibn Al-Makarim Hasan's Kalila and Dimna" and received her PhD.
