Night / Day Painting

I had this thick plate on the floor of my studio, it used to be a table at school. it is heavy so I put it on the floor and just started watching it. You get to know the thing you're going to paint on and that gives some kind of connection between you and your canvas. Then out of nothing you just start, with some kind of balance between not nothing what's going on and understanding of color and balance you paint something like Night / Day, a mix of my growing up living in Iceland and always have a mountain nearby to just look at and ingest its visual beauty and then letting it come out on canvas in some form or another.
