in the middle of the night, we all , become lost ..this splash of acrylic and tattoo pigment conceals the painting "lost" underneath itself. Beauty is ever changing and transforming, never stagnant, just as the stars in the night

I have always loved art my entire life. as a child you could find me drawing or colouring constantly. I was an only child till I was six years old when my brother was born. My parents were so busy with the new baby that they didn't have a lot of time for me. So I spent a ton of time drawing and colouring. My mother has said that I loved Sunday school as there was so many crafts and so much time spent on creating beautiful art. I would win the colouring contest that my city would host in the newspaper every year for Easter and Christmas ect. At 6 years old, when asked what I wanted to do with my summer, I told my mom I wanted to go into painting camps and painting classes. They would hold an annual art contests in my city, Medicine Hat, Alberta, and it would be an ad contest for all of the participating businesses in the city. Children would design an add for a participating business. Each year I would also win the citywide contest of this. Winning First place in these contests went on throughout my years of school in elementary and also in Junior high School. When I graduated from high school, I wanted to pursue a career in fashion design, only to realize that I really didn't enjoy working with fabric as a medium. I spent several years working in jewellery stores so that I was able to land an apprenticeship as a Goldsmith. I was a professional goldsmith for only a few years and I realized that there wasn't a lot of custom making jewellery as I thought there would have been. Instead my job entailed mainly monotonous tasks of sizing rings and fixing broken necklaces . I found it very boring and not at all what I needed to express my inner creativity and my passion for art. I was lucky enough for the career of a professional tattoo artist to fall into my lap. I had a friend and the professional tattoo industry who got me a job as a professional piercer in a tattoo shop and from there I pursued my professional tattoo apprenticeship for 2 years at a well-known tattoo studio, in southern Alberta Canada. I begin winning awards for my tattoo art after only tattooing for 2 years in the professional tattoo industry. I won these awards at the top tattoo conventions in Canada. These awards have been awarded to me by my peers and given to me against the art of tattoo artists, who had been tattooing for 25 years. I was ecstatic because I finally found my niche in the art world and something that I am naturally very talented at.
