Nightshade Painting

For this flower painting, I chose the medium of hand painted paper collage, combined with painting, to portray these flowers from my imagination. Painting and printing my collage papers gives me a limitless palette to work with and allows me to use as much pattern, colour and texture in my paintings as I want. Once I completed the painting and collage aspects I then accented it with pastels to make the colours even more vivid. Once finished, I applied a protective UVLS varnish to the painting. The sides of the canvas are painted white so no frame is required. A hanger is attached and the painting is signed on the reverse.
