ABOUT THE ARTWORK

About the Artist: Liu Zhaoping, a member of China National Art Association, Golden Prize Winner of National Ink Painting Competition, Head of China National Ink Painting Academy by the Ministry of Culture, Executive Chairman of Hill (Hiii International Institute of Ideas), Honorary Chairman of AEAFC (Association d'Échanges Artistiques Franco-Chinois). 2017.6.5 Poly Auction (Peking Four Seasons) - ——USD42034.22 (over USD13159.26 per 0.11sqm), 2015 Poly Auction (Peking) (69×69cm)—— USD53806.75, 2014 Poly Auction (Peking) (69×45cm) ——USD 30266.30, (69×45cm) ——USD 30266.30, just to list a few. About Lu's Artworks: Lu's ink artworks often experiment on various modern methods inspired by western oil painting yet without losing the essence of Chinese ink painting - the spiritual pursuit of sheer solitude and repose. His "Deers in the Woods" series attempt to take the balance of wet and dry brush works, as well as the agile shifts between dots, lines and ink mists, to the extreme. The strength and softness of the brush, the straightness and curves of the lines, together, created a sense of flowing movement of calmness or vigour, while in the same time, the adaptation of modern methods transforms the traditional two-dimension ink art to three-dimension with the depict of shadows and lights. This particular work takes the form of Zhong Tang (central scroll), with the combination of ink painting and calligraphy, which echo with each other so as to strengthen the emotion of serenity and tranquility. Premium xuan paper with underpinned layer for easy keeping or framing.

I've been a private collector of art works for nearly 2 decades. My particular interests include ancient Chinese ink art, modern ink art - both calligraphy and painting, as well as oil paintings. I've collected artworks of over 2000 pieces over the years. Most of the artists are top Chinese artists whose works I've auctioned at auction houses or bought from galleries. I pay particular attention to 4 major factors when it comes to what art works to collect: 1) the quality of the art piece: the use of techniques, the aesthetics, the creative breakthroughs and its academic value; 2) the artist: his/her academic background and experience as an artist, the artist's view on creativity, aesthetics, concept and ideas, etc. I often examine how interesting and authentic this person is and if what's being said reflect his/her execution of the artworks; 3) performance on the capital market for both long term and short term; 4) art critics related to the artist and his works I declare that all the artworks sold here are genuinely authentic with a certification issued by the auction house (some come with publication in the same time), and I'd be ready to assist you for resale whenever authentication being questioned.
