No time to die 74 x 100 x 4 sm Mix art: photo, gold potal, markers, acrylic. 2019 About series Portraits of Millennials [3 in 1: like coffee]: I wanted to show “my” time through the prism of the portrait. Through the image of people peer into their problems, ideas, feelings, vision of this world now. I created 4 archetypes of modernity. They contain everything that I see in my generation right now. My letter to you: The modern world is crazy speeds. Nano-seconds, nano-meters. The development of technologies that should make our lives easier, give us the opportunity to do something more, turned against us. The generation of millennials has accelerated and can not slow down. The human body and psyche are not able to adapt to this junction of real and virtual life so quickly. But this does not stop us. We constantly strive for success, for money, for fame. The gold rush of today is the desire to succeed everywhere. Where is it from? Who told us to run? This work reflects the duality of time. On the one hand, this greed and involvement in this race. And on the other hand, the tiredness of the whole generation, despair, sticky fear not to be in time, to be late, to fall behind. And at the same time - in the back of consciousness, fear of driving oneself to death. Inability to stop. This poster is a reminder that we are mortal. That the body is mortal. That looking in the mirror every day, you need to see the imprint of that dark face, which is next to you. He is not fear, he is a reminder and your motivator to manage your life the way you want, and not to bend under circumstances and the world around. Mari Boro - philologist, photographer, artist. Member of the International federation of Artists. Mari is a bright representative of the Russian millennials who were brought up on the remnants of Soviet traditions, but at the same time caught rapid technological and digital revolution. Mari lives on important and urgent problems through the game form of cartoonish images, thereby reducing emotionality, as it were, transferring it to another plane of unreality. This helps to look at the situation more objectively, with humor, to reduce the strain. Leading motives of her projects - this is the self-identification of a person of the "new time", the philosophy of humanism, the nature of modern society and ethical exacerbation. Mari Boro is a reflection of her time. As it really is. Seeking, contradictory, emotional, rebellious, not understanding the "framework" and with an inner strain.
