The artist has focused on a specific point in the landscape to explore the shapes and textures within his vision. Drawing with the brush and mark-making are used to create a rhythmic composition showing the visible shapes in the landscape. Colours and glazes suggest the sensations experienced within the place itself, the energy in a fast moving sky, the light creating different shades as it moves across the field of vision. This painting can be seen individually, or as part of a triptych.
