Nostalghia Painting

The diptych consists of two paintings, each 70.9" high and 70.9" long. One of the paintings depicts the decrepit landscape of an abandoned construction site in Zagreb and the other one a segment of a meadow in the countryside. The diptych connects two different kinds of landscape which surrounded me ever since I was little. Thereby I did not want to show one of them as more important than the other, but rather to bring them together in form of a montage which creates a new whole. The intention is also not to produce a completely accurate visual overlapping of two different images, but to create some sort of peaceful dialogue between them.
