About The Artwork
(Nothing but) Flowers was created with acrylic paint on primed linen. The professional grade linen is stretched over wooden stretchers with a 5cm thickness. The extra thick 5cm stretcher gives the painting presence when hung on the wall. This work is ready to hang. Some paintings are manifested from visual memory where as others are constructed from images formed during the painting process. The image evolved over the course of production. The title, (Nothing but) Flowers speaks for itself. The composition immediately reminded me of flowers (and I recently bought a live David Byrne album with that song on it and I've been starting shuffle plays with that track. I love that song).
