ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this for an exhibition at the Lombard Street Gallery in Margate in conjunction with Turner Contemporary, Margate. Journeys with The Wasteland. TS Eliot wrote a part of The Wasteland on Margate Sands. The painting is an attempt to look into Eliot's mind as he was working on the poem. 'On Margate Sands - I can connect - Nothing with nothing.......... Sand, wind, isolation, soul-searching
