About the Artist

Daniela Bellotti

Italy

Daniela Bellotti, born in Bologna, after graduating in Sociology of Art at Dams, University of Bologna, she devote to art criticism (she was editor for "Il Resto del Carlino" as journalist-publicist, also now she collaborates with several magazines. From 1998 she began to publish her painting, born of a passion and a search that she has always been dedicated, together with theoric studies. The special means in this research were first drawing and painting, then also photography and digital techniques.
In a strongly marked by the sign size and color, she interprets issues and concerns of the contemporary world with fragmented images, in which the human figure, especially women, dominates the space, and suggests glances, meetings, cultural and human rapinose diving, on the threshold of an individual live, not said, in a virtual distance and literary. Some topics are hot, such as sexual identity and ambiguity, the provocation and the body. She is currently focusing on painting and photography, and freelance journalist.
