ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The artist Frederick Geertman, born Sept. 25, 1993 in Oisterwijk, is an abstract artist who was interested in art and everything around it from his early years. He has a degree in antiques but became increasingly intrigued by the various modern art movements. After much experimentation and learning about different movements, this is how he arrived at his own work. He creates his artwork in many different sizes , so there is something for every collector. Frederick uses geometric shapes and harmonious or contrasting color combinations in his work. His works evoke different emotions in viewers. The works are creative and playful, leaving the viewer amused but also able to experience a form of tranquility. The amount of colors evoke joy and gaiety, while the connecting shapes bring calmness back into the compositions. He uses color, shape, line and texture to put together an energetic, emotional composition that convey his ideas, feelings and perspectives.
