This new artistic project that bears the title (Bitácoras) He proposes a rough, raw, effervescent and fast New York. These are the fundamental topics of this artist's proposal. From a migratory point of view, Xolo Cantillo uses a mixed medium as a language to capture his experiences, sometimes playing with sarcasm of a capitalist society loaded with individual and collective desires, inviting you to be part of them. The presence of color in each of his pieces alludes to the energetic resonance of the moment. Florentine tones, a palette of greys, blacks and silver colors (Acrylics), are intertwined in a symbiosis with disruptive lines created with wax pencil, which gravitate in the work, creating a dissonant effect in a fair balance. Addressing the issue of materials, we find transparent synthetic canvases (Plastic vinyl) used as surfaces. The transparent property of this material allows you to play with the projected shadows, (3D Effects) The participation of the drawing bars as part of the aesthetic design of the piece is forceful and in harmony with the selected tones. The assembly of the materials used for the construction of these pieces show a mechanical avant-garde as a result of this system.
