A good proportion of my work is a fusion of figurative images with overlaying design and texture conveying mystery and depth. The images are frequently depictions of Shakespeare characters and tell a story within the image. I also love to paint dancers in the same way, giving a blend of realism and the imagined. A further range of work shows the moment in time of children in their everyday world, capturing them when they are unaware of an audience. I love to use friends and family as my models working from spontaneous camera shots.
