lorisperierart.com Raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, I have grown up with a passion for art. I am inspired by masters such as Gaugin, Klimt and Matisse. My paintings varies from abstracts, landscapes and figure work and are visual journeys bringing ethereality to each viewer. I have grown up with an appreciation for art. My mother is an artist and as a young child I would watch her paint. She remembers on family beach trips I would draw in the sand for hours and knew one day that I would become an artist. Now my appreciation has turned into my passion and career that I love. Depending on what I am working on depicts my mindset. For my figure work the process is more precise, for the abstract and landscapes blending, layering of colors and the use of texture is a big proponte of my process. I want the painting to glow & be the centerpiece of the room. I use a variety of mediums in my work - molding paste, acrylic, compressed charcoal, graphite and metal leafing creating illumination, texture and richness.
