For reference and inspiration I used many photos, that I took during skiing in one of my favorite areas, Ischgl in Tirol, Austria. The skier is alone amidst a beautiful snowy landscape, going away from the main slopes, daring the mountain, his posture emphasizes the dynamic energy of the moment. The mountains in the background rise majestically, their sun lit snow-covered peaks showing in mist and clouds. They seem to watch over the skier’s daring descent, their sheer grandeur adding an element of both distance and danger to the painting. It’s a painting that celebrates the beauty of the mountains, the intensity of winter sports, and the determination of those who dare to explore the world’s most rugged and awe-inspiring landscapes.
