Painting has always been an interest over the years, and in recent times I have returned to this subject, and I have found that it seems to be an interesting and meaningful challenge to present the more beautiful side of this world to an audience in the form of paintings, which are in a range of media. I am quite versatile, and I like to paint in watercolours, pastels, oils, and mainly acrylics. I choose the medium that best seems to suit the idea. I like the challenge of defining the interest value of the image, creating harmony and unity in describing it, to work with the aesthetic of paint to tell a story, to create an interesting focal point that people can identify with. My main forms of inspiration are the impressionists, and how they describe patterns of light and colour.
